The MYO committee attended the annual Town Meeting on Tuesday 6th May. Ben Markham collected a cheque from the Mayor’s Fund for £500. We had applied for a grant to buy banners for our stands but were really excited to get more than we need.

MYO’s Musical Director Julia Chilver was also presented with a Mayor’s Award for Services to the Community for working tirelessly to promote music in Maldon and devoting so much time to the planning of rehearsals, arranging music and organisation of opportunities for young people to perform.
